Configuring Scheduled Items

Top  Previous  Next

There are a number of options available for controlling how items behave when scheduled in MaxScheduler. Some of the options are controlled through menu Configuration | Adjust scheduled item attributes. The following screen comes up.

BoardDataEditor

Scheduled item, first Field value displayed

When an item is moved from the List view on to the Board, item data is displayed in the box that appears. You can have up to 8 attribute values appear. This is controlled through the first to eight options of this screen. For example 'Scheduled item first Field value displayed' lets you select which attribute gets displayed first.

Scheduled item length

When an item is on the schedule it can take up a static or variable amount of time. If you want items to always take up 2 rows, enter the value 2 in this field. In your import file you may have a time estimate for how long a job may take. If you have this data, enter in the attribute name here. The time value needs to be in units of hours.  When items are placed onto the board they will take up the amount of time specified.

Column summary

Above the label for each resource there is space. In this area you can have summary data appear for items scheduled in that column. For example to have the number of jobs counted enter in the value 'count' in this configuration field. If you would like to have a attribute value totaled, enter in the attribute name here.

Row summary

On the right side, at there end of each row, there is space. In this area you can have summary data appear for items scheduled in that row. For example to have the number of jobs counted enter in the value 'count' in this configuration field. If you would like to have a attribute value totaled, enter in the attribute name here.
